Seeking Public Input on Excess Sales Tax Revenue

6:30 pm, Allouez Village Hall, 1900 Libal Street

The Village of Allouez is seeking public input from our citizens on the use of the recently passed Assembly Bills AB296/SB233 requiring the Department of Revenue (DOR) to distribute excess sales tax revenue collected from the local professional football stadium district to Brown County and to the municipalities within Brown County.

Allouez is to receive an estimated $719,000 in the coming months that could be used for debt reduction, tax relief or for economic development projects.  The Village Board invites you to attend the Village Board meeting on November 17th, 2015 at 6:30 pm to share your idea(s).

Comprehesive Outdoor Rec Plan Draft

The Village of Allouez Parks, Recreation, and Forestry Department is seeking input from the community on the first draft of the Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan (CORP).  This plan will guide the village on future parks and recreation improvements as well as assist the department with management and maintenance decisions.
The recommendations that have been included in the CORP have come from a needs assessment of the community, a public survey that was available during the month of September, input from various user groups, input from the Parks, Recreation, and Forestry Committee, as well as input from village staff. Costs associated with improvements that are included in the draft plan are only preliminary and are subject to review and funding.
A copy of the draft plan can be viewed on the Parks Department webpage at www.villageofallouez.com/depts/parks-and-forestry. Please email comments to the Parks Director at chrisc@villageofallouez.com by November 16th, 2015.  Please place “CORP Comments” in the subject line of your email.
The Parks, Recreation, and Forestry Committee will be further discussing the CORP at their next committee meeting on November 18th, 2015 at 6:30 pm at the Allouez Village Hall.  The public is welcome to attend.
