This project is fully funded by a grant from The Nature Conservancy! This project will not only benefit pollinator insects, but also help filter storm water runoff flowing into the East River.  We hope that this project will become a template for future pollinator gardens throughout the community!

Allouez Beautification Committee Fundraising Campaign

The Allouez Beautification Committee asks you to help make the village the beautiful place it is by donating to our annual flower fundraising campaign. Each summer, with donations from local residents and businesses, we purchase the many, many flowers from Schroeder’s Flowers to fill the beds and pots up and down Webster Avenue and on Riverside Drive. It’s a colorful tradition in its 27th year.

Donations of any amount are greatly appreciated. Give online at https://link.edgepilot.com/s/5766bab8/kqc2bUl1CUqpbT32MFpjrQ?u=http://www.allouezbeautification.org/ or by sending a check payable to ABC to: US Bank, 1950 S. Webster Ave., Green Bay, WI 54301.

Thank you to everyone who so faithfully gives year after year and to the first-timers who jump on board to make sure the tradition continues. As a 501(c)(3), all-volunteer organization, we couldn’t do it without each of you — and Schroeder’s, too. Our thanks to them for so generously partnering with us on this display of community pride since 1995.

Green Isle Park Playground is Now Open

The new playground at Green Isle Park has been completed and is now open for play.  The playground is located within Green Isle Park at 900 Greene Avenue in Allouez.  The Village of Allouez Parks, Recreation, and Forestry Department worked with Lee Recreation, out of Cambridge, Wisconsin, over the past year to come up with several designs to replace an aged playground that had reached its lifespan.  The four original designs were then presented to the community to choose their favorite which was installed this summer.

The playground has a ramped play structure, several slides, an arched catway bridge, several climbers, a Comet spinner, a Volta inclusive spinner and a wheel chair accessible cruiser/rocker all on a rubber play surface along with a new multi-use swingset.  This play structure will be enjoyed by children for many decades to come.
