Movie in the Park

The Allouez Business Association in partnership with the Village of Allouez Parks, Recreation and Forestry Dept. will offer a “Movie in the Park” on Friday Sept. 9 of 2016.  This event is a great opportunity to bring the whole family to enjoy an exciting movie on the BIG SCREEN in the great outdoors!

The feature movie will be “My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2”.  A Portokalos family secret brings the beloved characters back together for an even bigger and Greeker wedding.

The event will take place at Green Isle Park (2500 Greene Ave.) on Friday, September 9, 2016. The showing will begin at dusk.

Behold the Blooms

 

Are you among the 6% of Allouez households who have contributed towards the marvelous blooms lining our boulevards?  Hasn’t Schroeders done an excellent job of planning and planting?  Because of you, The Allouez Beautification Committee has been able to fund this project over the last twenty years.  However, our  Fund Drive, begun this past May,, has not reaped the necessary amount to cover expenses  this year.  If you are among the other 94% who have not yet made a contribution, we invite you to experience the personal pride one feels in knowing that you have played a role in beautifying your community.  No gift is too small.  Make your check payable to Allouez Beautification Committee and mail it to US Bank at 1950 S. Webster Avenue. On your next drive through our lovely community, you may behold the blooms  with “new” eyes.

GURNEE MILLS SHOPPING TRIP: SATURDAY, SEPT. 10 

Gurnee Mills is the Midwest's largest value retail and entertainment mall with over 200 manufacturer and retail outlet stores including Abercrombie & Fitch, Off 5th Saks Fifth Avenue Outlet, JCPenney Outlet, Neiman Marcus Last Call, H&M, Hollister Outlet, Gap Outlet, Marshalls, TJ Maxx, Nike Factory Store and so many more!         Shoppers can dine at over 30 restaurants including Rainforest Café and Portillos.  Enjoy indoor ice skating,    miniature golf and laser tag or the Bass Pro Shops Outdoor World, a 133,000 square foot space including a 30,000 gallon fresh water aquarium, archery and shooting range and fishing demonstrations all inside the store.  Truly, a trip for the entire family.

Milwaukee Brewers Trip: August 24

 

MILWAUKEE BREWERS TRIP: WEDNESDAY AUGUST 24  

Cheer on the Brewers as they take on the Rockies. We will either be on the left or right field line between the wall and first or third base.  Game starts at 1:10pm.

Pick-up/Drop-off site:           Sam’s Club Parking Lot (2470 W. Mason St.)

Departure:                              9:30 am
Return:                                   6:30/7:00 pm

Henna Workshops

Instructor Amy Wilde is certified via

 

International Certification For Natural Henna Arts. This workshop will explain what henna is, what is in a typical henna kit, how to mix henna for body art application, and how to do simple designs. Amy will also do a medium design on each participant. The class may go longer to make sure every one gets a henna design.
