Zoning Code Open House

Come join us for the Zoning Code Open House on Tuesday, January 21, 2020 from 5-6:30 p.m. at the Village Hall (1900 Libal Street). No formal presentation will be given, so feel free to come and go as you please and ask representatives questions about the draft!

The Plan Commission began rewriting the Village Zoning Code in 2018, with the help of Duncan and Codametrics. This project is following years of research and discussion of how to address the existing outdated code, which was originally written in 1972. A new zoning code will align with our goals identified in our Comprehensive Plan and streamline development, while protecting the character and charm of Allouez.

If you have specific questions, please contact Trevor Fuller, Planning and Zoning Administrator, at 920-448-2800 ext. 134 or trevor@villageofallouez.com

Zambaldi Ribbon Cutting

You are invited to the grand opening ceremony for Zambaldi Beer, the newest business in the Village of Allouez! The ribbon cutting is scheduled for Saturday, February 8th at 11:30a.m. at 1649 S. Webster Avenue, Allouez, Wisconsin.

Zambaldi Beer is anticipated to be a catalyst development for the Village of Allouez and a destination within the greater Green Bay community. The project is a two acre brownfield redevelopment site, with an estimated $3 million in investments to date. Private sector investments have partnered with the Village of Allouez, Brown County, the Wisconsin Economic Development  Corporation, the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, and even a crowd funding source, to make the Zambaldi Beer project a truly collaborative effort.

The 9,300 square foot brewery space and tap room of Zambaldi Beer is just the beginning to redevelopment plans for Webster Avenue in the Village of Allouez. Plans for an additional 4,400 square feet of commercial space and 3,500 square feet of office space are expected on this property alone. Come join us and raise a glass to something great beginning in Allouez!

Seeking Board of Appeals Members

The Board of Appeals meets the second Monday of each month at 5:15 p.m. at the Allouez Village Hall if petitions are filed by property owners. The Board of Appeals (BOA) is a quasi-judicial body who is responsible for granting or denying variance requests.
A variance is a relaxation of a dimensional standard in a land use ordinance (e.g., setbacks, lot area, height, etc.). The Board’s job is not to compromise ordinance provisions for a property owner’s convenience but to apply legal criteria provided in state laws and the local ordinance to a specific fact situation. Variances are meant to be an infrequent remedy where an ordinance imposes a unique and substantial burden.
For more information, please contact Debbie Baenen, Village Clerk-Treasurer at debbie@villageofallouez.com or (920)448-2800.
