MAKE SOMEONE’S DAY AND SUPPORT ALLOUEZ WITH A SPRING BOUQUET

Do you know someone who could use a little day brightener? It’s time once again for the Allouez Beautification Committee’s annual flower sale in partnership with the Allouez Lions Club.

For just $15, you can surprise someone with a colorful spring garden bouquet or a dozen roses. ABC will take care of the delivery.

Here’s how it works: Place your order by March 17 by calling Dorothy at 847-322-4682 or Marlene at 920-336-6047. You can also email dorothyhydepark@aol.com or contact any ABC member.

Flowers will be delivered March 26-27. The delivery area is homes and businesses in Allouez, Ashwaubenon, Bellevue, Denmark, De Pere, Green Bay, Gillett, Howard and Suamico.

All proceeds go back into Allouez by helping with the Lions’ many community projects and by helping ABC to purchase flowers for the beds and pots along Webster Avenue and Riverside Drive this summer.

Last year, ABC volunteers alone delivered more than 110 bouquets. That’s a lot of smiles! Thank you for your support.

424-12 OVERNIGHT PARKING DURING WINTER MONTHS.

No person shall park a vehicle on any street in the Village
between 2:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. during the five-month period
from November 1 through March 31 of the following year.

The Village Administrator has the authority to call off or suspend  the seasonal parking ban
ordinance, weather permitting,  after March 15th of any one year.

Street parking ban is due to winter street cleaning.  Parking ban will be enforced; no warning given.

Violators will be ticketed $20.00 and have 5 days to pay the fine.  If the fine is not paid within 5
days, the fine increases to $30.00.

After 11 days the fine will increase to $40.00.  After 30 days, the fine is $55.00 and a suspension of
your plates and registration will be issued and sent to the DOT.

Amended Sidewalk Snow Clearing Code

The Village of Allouez has recently amended its sidewalk snow clearing code. The change will address the challenge of maintaining sidewalk along Village thoroughfares, improve safety, increase the snowfall depth at which the Village will assist property owners with the clearing of the sidewalk, simplify Village maintenance efforts and meet budgetary challenges. The change was discussed at multiple Public Works Committee meetings and approved at the October 6th Village Board meeting.

Following is the new sidewalk clearing code: (click here to view the signed ordinance)

The Village of Allouez will assist property owners as follows with the clearing of snow from public sidewalk:
  • After each snowfall event the Village will clear sidewalk adjacent to roundabouts and problem area sidewalks (walk along Riverside Dr., Webster Ave., Allouez Ave., and Brookridge St.)
  • 6” of snowfall or more – The Village will clear all other contiguous sidewalk which includes Longview Ave., Libal St., Hoffman Rd., Broadview Dr., Greene Ave., Woodrow Way, and St. Joseph St. Less than 6” of snowfall it is the property owner’s responsibility to clear snow and ice from sidewalk.
The owner of property abutting any sidewalk shall, without notice, keep such abutting sidewalk clear of snow and ice as described above and after the initial clearing efforts by the Village. Residents have 48 hours after a snowfall to clear sidewalk of snow and ice. Click here to view the sidewalk map.

Your cooperation and help with the implementation of this revised code would be appreciated to ensure sidewalk is clear and safe for pedestrian use during winter months. This change will go into effect this year and will be enforced beginning with the first snowfall.
