A strong democracy depends on engaged citizens and dedicated, competent, leaders willing to step forward and serve in public offices. No matter which public office—school board, village board, county board—our public institutions become stronger when interested candidates offer voters choices as to who will represent them.
Whether driven by a passion to address a particular challenge in the community, a realization that you are just as capable (or more!) than the current officeholder, or desire to provide leadership to the community on a broad scale, you will be making a difference. Serving in public office provides the opportunity to use your skills, talents, and experience to be a creative force for positive change in your community.

Who may be a candidate:
The minimum qualifications to hold an office are:
• United States Citizenship
• At least 18 years of age (or older for certain offices)
• Satisfy residency requirement for specific office
• May not have been convicted of a felony in any court in the United States unless pardoned of the conviction.

Update on 2020 Fall Yard Waste Clean-Up

Due to the volume of leaves, the Village will be adding additional equipment and staff to the fall cleanup effort in an attempt to collect the stockpiled leaves. As of this past weekend the Street Department has made one full pass through the Village with the leaf sucker trucks.
As of November 11th, the Village began baling leaves to assist with the collection. The baling operation which is labor and equipment intensive will be continued throughout next week. By the end of next week, we are optimistic to have completed another full pass through the Village.
Please note the last day to place leaves to the curb is November 15th. Weather permitting, the Village will continue the weeks of November 23rd and 30th with the leaf sucker trucks collecting any remaining piles.
At the end of this season it is our hope to have completed 3 full passes through the Village. To the best of our ability, Staff will provide updated maps of daily progress reports on our website – https://www.villageofallouez.com/2020/11/fall-clean-up/
Thank you for your patience.
Respectfully,
Sean J. Gehin, P.E.
