Trailers, Campers, & Boats – Not Allowed outside after November 15th

As a reminder, trailers for motorcycles, seasonal use trailers for watercraft and camping equipment shall not be permitted to be parked outside on residential or commercial property from November 15th to March 1st.

2022 Winter/Spring Youth Dance

 

THURSDAYS CLASSES:

Dancing is not only an important art form, but it is important to the development of coordination, confidence, and social skills in young people.

 

These classes will teach the core steps and techniques of each style and then apply those into routines to be performed at the recital at the end of the session.

Dates: January 13-April 7 (No class March 24)

• Tiny Tap & Ballet: 
• Ages: 3-4 years old
• Time: 5:15-6:00pm
• Fee: $110 R/$137 NR
• Intermediate Tap & Ballet: 
• Ages: 5-6 years old
• Time: 6:15-7:00pm
• Fee: $110 R/$137 NR
• Advanced Jazz and Ballet:
• Ages: 7-12 Years old
• Time: 7:15-8:00pm
• Fee: $115 R/$143 NR

* Costume fee of $45 for 3-6 year old classes and $50 for 7-12 year old classes, has been added into program fees.

Hydro Helpers

The Hydro’s Helpers Program is designed to actively involve your child in helping firefighters, your neighbors, and your community. By agreeing to help care for a hydrant during the winter months, you will help save the Fire Department precious minutes during a fire. The program is intended to keep the child’s interest throughout the winter months, and your child’s efforts will be rewarded in the summer with a certificate of completion. The helper will also be invited to a ice cream social; event details to come at a later date.

Hints, Safety Tips, & Guidelines

1.) Each child should be responsible for one hydrant.
2.) To the best of his/her ability, the child should clear (generally with parent participation):

• Approximately a 3-4 foot circle around the hydrant and a 3 foot path to the street.
• This should only be done on quiet, residential streets and also be done with parent supervision.

3.) Report the following to the Water Department:

• Caps missing or broken
• Water leaking from your hydrant
• For City of Green Bay residents call

• For Village of Bellevue residents call:

4.) Hydrants will be monitored to be sure your child is a good caretaker.
5.) Do not step into the road while clearing a hydrant; have an adult help you if the plow piles are too high.
6.) If the hydrant you are adopting is across the street, an adult should accompany the child for safety reasons.
7.) If the hydrant is not on your property, be sure to ask your neighbor’s permission first!

**Never step onto the street while shoveling the hydrant. It is best to wear bright clothes!**

Requirements

• Must live within the City of Green Bay or Village of Allouez or Village of Bellevue
• Any child that is 17 years old or younger can participate in this program.

Allouez Park Restrooms Closed for Winter Season

 

Park Restrooms have been winterized and are closed for the season.

They will reopen in spring once the weather is consistently above freezing.

2021 Fall Babysitting Workshops

 

Description: Designed for pre-teens ready to stay home alone or for those interested in babysitting— this is a great class for participants ages 10- 15. Class includes CPR instruction and home alone/babysitter safety. Babysitting portion of class is taught by other Paramedics or Nursing professors from FVTC Public Safety Division. At the end of the program students will receive an American Heart Association “Friends and Family” participation certificate, and an 80-page student manual.

 

Fee:  $70 Allouez Residents/ $87 Non-Allouez Residents
