Do you
enjoy outdoor gardening during the spring and summer months, but just don't have
a place to grow your favorite vegetables and fruits?
Soon we will be
taking registrations for the rental of gardening plots and raised beds at the
Allouez Organic Community Garden. This garden is a partnership between the
Village of Allouez and Langlade Elementary that will allow community members to
reserve a free plot of gardening space.
The community garden plots will
be approximately 15x15 feet in size and raised beds are 8x4x1 feet.
All
we ask is that about half of the food grown will be donated to a local food
pantry or other charitable organization of your choice. This is an
excellent opportunity for everyone to benefit in some way.
