NOW HIRING- Village of Allouez Neighborhood Compliance Inspector

NOW HIRING- Village of Allouez Neighborhood Compliance Inspector

Position Description

Position Summary

The Village of Allouez Planning and Community Development Department is accepting applications for the Neighborhood Compliance Inspector (NCI). The Department is looking for energetic individuals that have a passion for working with residents and upholding the standards of the village.

This is a part-time position with a flexible working schedule to accommodate the needs of the employee and the department. The typical work week is an eight hour day, three days per week up to 24 hours per week, but flexibility can be given to the right candidate or candidates.

The primary working responsibilities for the NCI position include public education, investigation, inspection, and enforcement of municipal ordinances, codes and regulations as they relate to the abatement of nuisances, the maintenance of private properties, overseeing the Crossing Guard Program, and the preservation of neighborhoods. In addition, the NCI works with residents and property owners, and coordinates community outreach on the importance of code enforcement and nuisance abatement in the pursuit of preserving property values.

The NCI serves as a liaison between the village and the public regarding code enforcement and nuisance abatement issues and may issue citations and aid in the prosecution of village ordinance violations, when necessary. However, the primary focus will be on education and compliance, and less on punitive measures. The NCI can expect to work across an array of village departments – particularly Public Works, Community Development, Administration, and Police and Fire.

Successful individual or individuals will be approachable, compassionate, team-oriented professional(s), with strong interpersonal skills.

The wage range for this position is $18.00-$21.00 per hour based on experience. The position will also receive vacation and holiday pay.

If you are at least 18 years old, have a valid driver’s license, have a great work ethic, and possess a passion for public service, we would like to add you to our team. For more information visit the employment webpage at www.villageofallouezwi.gov/community/employment/.
